About Robin

I work with troubled individuals suffering from dissatisfaction in their lives for various reasons, and I specialize in working with couples, whose relationships suffer from chronic misunderstanding and subsequent loss of connection. By talking about feelings either individually in psychotherapy or with your partner in a couples session you can find relief by gaining deeper understanding and insight into yourself and your partner. Self expression in therapy increases "self" and "other" awareness.

Individual therapy ushers in a sense of stability and well-being through insight. Couples therapy generates the return of positive feelings and gratitude for each other and their relationship.

My approach

I am an emotionally focused therapist in my work with individuals and couples. This means that I try to get at the deepest feelings a person has about him or herself, or their partner in the relationship. I also try to unveil how early life experiences shape a person's understanding of themselves and affect how they feel and behave in a close relationship.

About me

I have worked with individuals and couples for 20+ years and continually find the work rewarding at every turn. Couples improve in their relationships once they understand why they are having conflicts. Through understanding themselves and removing emotional barriers many clients accomplish long dreamed of goals in life either alone or with their partner.
