About Kallie
I work with adults dealing with trauma, OCD, and experiences that continue to affect their lives long after the original circumstances have passed. Maybe you're dealing with intrusive thoughts and doubts that keep pulling you into the same mental loops. Maybe past experiences still affect your relationships, your sense of safety, or how you see yourself. Or maybe you know your history inside and out, but that understanding hasn't changed how you feel or react.
I offer weekly therapy and extended Brainspotting intensives, depending on your needs and what makes sense for the work you want to do.
My approach
I primarily use Brainspotting for trauma-focused work, alongside IFS-informed perspectives and nervous system regulation when appropriate. For OCD, I'm trained in Inference-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (I-CBT), which addresses the reasoning process behind obsessional doubts.
About me
I'm Kallie Weaver, a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas. I'm curious about why we react the way we do, why some patterns persist even when we understand them, and what happens when we look at an experience from a different angle. I want to understand your experience, not fit you into a formula.
More background
I have a master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Texas Tech University and have been practicing since 2020. My clinical work includes trauma and OCD, and I've pursued specialized training in Brainspotting and Inference-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (I-CBT).
I'm particularly interested in how people experience and make sense of their own minds. That interest shows up differently depending on what brings someone to therapy. With OCD, I'm trained in I-CBT, which focuses on how obsessional doubts develop and how people get pulled into treating imagined possibilities as real threats. In trauma-focused work, I use Brainspotting to help clients work with experiences that may be difficult to access through conversation alone.
I offer both weekly telehealth therapy and extended Brainspotting intensives. Intensives provide a longer block of time for focused work, while weekly therapy offers an ongoing space to work at a different pace. During a consultation, we can discuss what you're looking for and which format might fit your needs.
